Privacy Policy
Last revised: August 13, 2026
Iagoli Cuisine (iagoli.com) is a recipe journal about the traditional cooking of Alsace. Reading our recipes requires no account, no registration and no payment. Even so, running a website involves some information moving back and forth, and this page explains plainly what that involves and what say you have in it.
The Short Version
We publish recipes. We do not sell anything on this site and we do not build profiles of individual readers. The information touched by this site falls into two buckets: things you type and send us yourself, and routine technical data your browser transmits to every website it visits. Advertising partners such as Google may additionally use cookies as described below.
Information You Choose to Share
If you write to us with a question, a correction or a note about a recipe, we receive whatever you include in that message, typically your name, your email address and the text you wrote. We use it only to reply and to improve the site. We do not add you to mailing lists you did not ask for, and we do not pass your message to third parties for their own purposes.
Information Collected as You Browse
Like nearly every site on the web, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical details when a page is served: the IP address the request came from, the page requested, the date and time, the browser type and the referring page. These server logs exist for security, troubleshooting and aggregate statistics. They are not used to identify individual readers.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this and other websites. This is standard across sites that carry Google advertising and it is governed by Google's own policies rather than ours.
- How Google uses advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Google's overall privacy practices are set out at policies.google.com/privacy.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
How This Site Uses Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. On this site they may be used to remember basic display preferences and, where advertising is present, by Google as described above. Every mainstream browser lets you view, restrict or delete cookies through its settings. The recipes here remain fully readable with cookies disabled.
What We Do With Information
The information described above is used to keep the site online and secure, to understand in aggregate which recipes readers find useful, to answer messages sent to us, and to meet any legal obligations that apply to operating a website. We do not sell visitor information. We do not trade it. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.
How Long Information Stays With Us
Server logs are retained only for as long as they are useful for security and maintenance, then discarded. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the matter you wrote about, after which it may be deleted. We keep nothing longer than we have a genuine reason to.
Keeping Information Safe
We rely on reputable hosting with industry standard protections, and we limit access to any correspondence we hold. No transmission over the internet can be promised to be perfectly secure, so we encourage you not to include sensitive personal details in messages to a recipe website; there is simply no need for them here.
Choices Available to You
You can browse this site without telling us who you are. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising at the link above. And you can write to us at any time to ask what information, if any, we hold from your correspondence, or to ask that it be corrected or deleted. We will respond to reasonable requests without drama.
Younger Visitors
This site is written for a general adult audience of home cooks. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where Data Is Processed
Our hosting and email providers may process data on servers located in various countries. Wherever processing happens, we hold it to the standards described in this policy.
When This Policy Changes
If our practices change, this page changes with them, and the revision date at the top is updated. Substantial changes will be visible here; we do not maintain other channels for policy announcements, so this page is the authoritative version.
